A pedophile is not about appearance it is about their behavior. So you will need to do your own profiling on him to determine if he exhibits signs of a pedaphile.
Compare that to known pedophile traits, if he has a lot of them in common, the likelihood just increased.
I'd refuse to do the child role playing though, see what effect that has.
Also, remember, most pedaphile's first victim will be a relative or someone they know very, very well. Perhaps it began as volunteering to babysit for a neighbor for no reason whatsoever. One day, after providing services for some time, they make thier move.
Being a pedaphile is only motive, to perform any action they still require a target subject ( that they believe they can get away with it with), opportunity, and a means.

My boyfriends and I used to talk baby talk to each other but I never thought of either of us as pedophiles.....just stupid.
