Sounds like an attention seeking (not necessarily aggressive) behavior. You should get him to a trainer. Find someone who uses positive, reward based training methods. Look for someone who does Clicker Training - as it is inherently a positive method. It's the same model of training that is used with Grizzly Bears, Killer Whales and other animals that could kill us if they wanted to. It's safe and very effective.

In the meantime, if the dog gets mouthy - walk away. Go into another room if you have to. The idea is to let the dog know that he will NOT get attention that way. Praise him for the behaviors you DO want.

fold a belt in half...then grab it by each side and put ure fists together....then pull back really fast...this makes a snapping noise that will scare the dog...do this IMMEDIATELY after he shows aggressive behavior. or roll up a newspaper and hit him on a kind leg...not hard tho

I smack my dog on the nose when she bites. she is 3 mos old and still a puppy, but i dont want the habit becoming worse and she will get big fast and who knows who she might hurt. good luck on this one!

If it's a puppy, it's probably that its teeth are growing and it just nibbling and biting things to help ease the itching.
