It's more likely "康", which means healthy. It ranks 92nd on the 2006 survey of top chinese surnames.
But it can also be "簡" which means simplicity. This is more cantonese and is ranked beyond the top 100 in the 2006 survey.

Do you mean Khan (sometimes spelled as Xan, Han, Ke-Han)like in Genghis Khan ??

If you do , it means conqueror , ruler or leader.
