yes but it would take forever and it would have to be a puppy.

Honestly, an untrained dog can be a real pain - a risk to himself, his owner and to other people and animals. Owning an undisciplined dog may result to:
- Destruction to your home
- Social isolation
- Accidents
- Injuries
- Legal claims against you
- Stress to all concerned
- The dog being unwanted
Canines that always get their own way will believe that life revolves around them and for that reason they must be important. Since dogs are looking for controlling different resources than humans, their bid for power usually goes undetected until it’s too late. Obedience and house training your dog and ensuring he’s not raised to a top position inside the home will keep your relationship with him well-balanced in your favor, as it must be for satisfaction all round.

Yes, but it is easier to crate train them so that you can take them out at the same times each day for them to take care of business. The problem with using a litter box for such a large dog is that in the case of males who hike their legs then the target is so small that you have them splattering all over the place. In addition, the quantity of urine and the volume of feces is so large that your home will smell like a barn all of the time.

Yes, you could potty train a large dog, but maybe a toilet would be easier for him? ;-)
Seriously, you can train any dog to go on a wee-wee pad (the dog's equivalent of a litter box.) Just remember that they have larger bladders and so make more of a mess.
Tip: Keep it in the bathroom (tiled floor), for easy clean up.
Your vet or the local puppy shop should be able to give you pointers on how to train your pup.

In my experience, larger breeds are easier to house break. Litter box-NO. Crate training is best. A large breed dog should be able to go up to 10 hours without going outside. Feed him a high quality dog food. They have less fillers and only what your dog needs, therefore they don't have to eat as much, so; less poo! Good luck! And never train even a puppy to go in the house. Then you have to re-train to go outside!!

How big do you think the litter tray would have to be?! Can you imagine the smell? Be realistic. If you don't have the time or space to let it go to the bathroom naturally, you don't have the right living environment to keep a large dog happy. Housebreaking is just the tip of the iceberg.

Litter boxes are for cats. Potty pads are just plain stupid.
Dogs should do their business outside exclusively. If you teach your dog to pee in the house -- it'll pee in the house. Just remember that.

You probably can if the box is big enough. They also make little pads you can set on the floor, that are made for dogs. Those work very well, but they're not too sanitary or attractive looking. But of course, I guess nothing of that matter is.

dogs have a natural instinct to lift there leg when they do there business.I suggest that if you want something to do its business in a litter box buy a cat!!If you dont have time to take a big dog outside to do his business you shouldnt be getting a dog

That would be utterly ridiculous! I don't know of any sane person who would want a dog, particularly a large dog, peeing in their house!

No need to potty train them. Let them do their business anywhere in the house because they will eat their products anyway.
