I think the calf muscle is strengthened with the thing that you place your foot on a ledge and lift with your feet, ankles and calf muscles. You increase the resistance accordingly.

There are a number of things you can do to tighten the abs. Just basic pushups is ab tightening. Also try remaining in a pushup position for a few minutes and just remaining in that position should help with tightening the abs.

When I work out I like to do some cardio first for twenty to thirty minutes. Then I do as many stretching exercises as I am familiare with. Then I do ab strengthening and tighterning exercises.

I personally find it really difficult to just go through the exercises mentioned above at least five days a week for an average of two hours. I feel you almost have to make a career out of fitness to really spend the time on it required to really change your appearances.

Lunges are definitely the best overall leg workout there is! Or you could try standing flat on the floor, and repeatedly standing up and down on your tippy toes while standing straight. This really works those calves.

As for abs, do a "human plank" see the pic at:

This really works out your abs.
