my 3 yr old was playing with a superman toy and a tower of legos one day while i was cooking dinner...she made superman fall off of the tower and said...."shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" getting quieter as he was falling. Just like as if he were falling and you couldn;t hear him anymore...it was hilarious!

My son was three at the time and went out into the garage while we had a few people over. All my husbands buddies was in the garage talking and smoking cigarettes cause I don't let them smoke inside. When my son returned into the house where I sat with all the wives, he walked right up to me and said, "Mommy, What the F***? I thought all my hair fell out I was so shocked but I HAD to ask,"What did you say honey?" while all the moms sat with their mouths hanging open. So, he repeated it. He didn't get in trouble for it but the guys in the garage did! He hasn't said that phrase since or at least I haven't heard it and I'm with him all day except when he's sleeping. It just sounds so awful when you hear a child's voice spewing vulgarities!!

Yup. It's crazy! I used to babysit 3 6-year-olds along with an 8 year-old, and they would cuss worse than most adults! I had to tell them that if they were allowed to cuss like that in front of their parents, that's not my business, but they were not allowed to in front of me. They liked me well enough, so they listened at first, but after an hour or so, I'd have to go through that all over again. It's crazy what kids pick up on!

Sadly yes. I have a really nice student but every once in a while he slips and says the F word. I'm sure he is influenced by his older brother but I still don't excuse it even if it is accidently uttered. I sent him out of the classroom for a talking to the last time it happened and he has been more careful about his language since then.

have you ever been on an elementary playground? They cuss like sailors out there. I know I was helping with playground duty one day and heard the first graders playing 'house'. One girl told the others to stop f'ing around and get to work on the cookies. another said f you B, I'm sleeping with your husband. Nice
This wasn't some inner city school, this was the middle of middle class suburbia, probably picked it up from desperate housewives and their momma's.

Yea, I heard my own (2 actually, a 4 year old and a 7 year old) saying a "bad word" over and over when they thought we couldn't hear. It was a swear that you can hear on commercial TV, but a swear still. They leaned quickly that sound does, in fact, travel and that Mom and Dad mean it when they say that those words are not OK.

My Grand daughter when she was only 2 sat in there high chair pointing at the local cop calling him a F@&*er over and over again, then she told me that is what daddy say they are, it was not cute, I had been dealing with this cop over my ill father in laws junk cars and was keeping the law at bay while trying to get rid of all of them, I tried to blow it off by correcting her and saying yes honey they are eating burgers we will get you one too, but it did not work! Not a pretty picture!

Yeah, all the time. When I was lil, I wasnt even allowed to fay 'butt' or 'fart', I had to call it backside and gas. Otherwise I would get my mouth washed with soap. Nowadays, kids talk a lot of obseneties. However, now I am the biggest curser in the world.

Uh yea, my 3 year old daughter one night. She told my son '**** you'. Picked it up from a teenager that we have babysit, as we do not tolerate any language like that in our house, needless to say, she doesnt babysit for us any more, and we had a talk with our daugther.
