She is 9 months old and her ears are clean but she keeps scratching her right ear until it bleeds. What can I do, so she won't keep scratching her ear?

Well, I will take her to the Vet tomorrow and get her ear checked out. She does not scratch it all the time but alot during the day. Aslo...if she does have mites...can she pass it on to my Yorkie? He does not have any problems at all.

She does not have mites, just some irritation. Got some trops and antibiotics.

It could be mites, infection, or skin issues. Take her to the vet to find the true cause so it can be treated properly, completely, and quickly.

Find out what's making her scratch! My guess is ear mites. You cant see them and dirt has little to do with them. As a side note, over the counter treatments (the stuff you can buy at the supermarket) work just fine so try one first before spending a lot on a vet's bill!

I have a 10 month old Beagle/bassette mix that keeps doing the same thing. I had her into the vet three times and nothing. Finally I used the peroxide on a cotton ball thing. Soak the cotton ball in peroxide and drop a few drops in the ear. let it sink in. If it bubbles there is an inner ear infection. If it doesn't it will get out any hard or bothersome wax.

Yup, sounds like ear mites - your vet should be able to check for you, and give you something for them. Treatments are really simple - you just drip some stuff on the back of the neck (where she can't lick it off). Shouldn't cost much at all.

Take her to the vet. Sounds like ear mites, or worse. I would do that before getting a cone collar, as something is obviously wrong!

Definitely take her to a vet. You may think her ears are clean, but the vet can look down inside her ear with a light, to see what is going on. The vet will know the best way to deal with it.

She may have ear mites or a yeast infection - both of which cause severe itching and both are easily treated. Take her to the vet - she is miserable.

Take her to the vet and have them look at her. She may have ear mites which are microscopic insects and barely visible to the naked eye, or she could have something else going on.

You could put an Elizabethan collar on her until her ear is repaired. Perhaps it isn't fully healing because she keeps digging at it.
