in the place of where the word "homosexual" is now listed in the Bible? You now read about sinners being referred to as adulterers, murderers, homosexuals, etc who will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If homosexuals truely were a hot-button issue back when the Bible was written, what one word description did they have for them and why did it get changed if there ever was one?

Why would it be sodomites when no clear connection was made between homosexuals and the people living in Soddom? They were burned because they were rude to guests, not because of anything else.

When the laws were laid down, as the Hebrews wandered in the desert, in Leviticus it states: "if a man lie down with another man, they shall be put to death" I think thats pretty clear!

Some of the newer English translations use the word "homosexual". Here is how the KJV describes it:

Romans 1:25-27
"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

It seems that there wasn't a one-word description. However, as these scriptures show, no one word description is necessary. You get the point without it.

arsenakoitai and malekoi. the former relating to the man (arsenos) lying with a man as with a woman (coitus). malekoi i believe has to do with being soft, effeminate. the main thing to point out here is that you are correct, there was NO psychology or lifestyle inferred here; it was 2 heterosexual men giving in to their lusts (which is just a word describing someone who desires to have an orgasm, rather than find love the way god supposedly designed it) and therein completing an act deemed completely against nature.
