I am stopping by Cold Stone Creamery on the way home. I am going to bring some home to the GF. We went one time on our first date. I can only partially remember what she got (or I think so). Will I be golden because I brought ice cream or will I be in the dog house because I did not pay attention?

If you were my guy, it'd be bonus points for the ice cream. Who cares if you can't remember. (Just DON"T tell her you forgot what she liked. To a girl, ice cream is ice cream, unless she's allergic to bananas and you order her a banana split. Just tell her it sounded like something she'd enjoy.)

When you arrive home with whatever flavour of icecream you choose, just present this to your girlfriend and explain that you were remembering the very first time that you went out with her and how you went for icecream ... then kiss her gently. You'll get bonus points for sure and the whole idea of flavours won't even matter! The dog can stay in the doghouse ...

I think it's sweet in the first place, but if you could remember exactly what she got you'll be earning magor brownie points. But the fact you remember that as your first day is enough. Good Luck.
