I have 8 labrador puppies they are 25 days old.
Which is 3 weeks and 4 days. The mom really dosen't keep them clean anymore. So I was wondering when can I give them a bath. How old do they have to be?

I would start getting your Lab puppies used to water and baths now. DO NOT USE any harsh or "scented" shampoos for the time being. Lukewarm water to start. If they really smell, there are many extremely mild, tearless commercial shampoos made specifically for puppies. Check the ingredients of the shampoo you are considering. Many are available that are "nondetergent" based. These are what you want.
Your puppies w (and their owner and/or future owners) will thank you if you get them used to the process now.

Oh the stinky stage, hate that part. What I do is make sure that the puppy area is cleaned as often as possible and also make the area big enough that they can eliminate in one area, play in another. Most puppies learn very quickly to keep their sleeping area clean. Lots of newspapers, shredded paper or even pine shavings for bedding.

If you have to clean them, use a warm wash cloth and make sure to dry them well. I also keep baby wipes on hand-they work great.

I have a black labrador and we gave him his first bath at 6 weeks. It also depends on how much the dog is used to you being with him or her. If your dog is 6 weeks hold and you have only had it for a few days i would wait a week until he or she will be ready.

If there eyes are open and if you give them a warm bath and make sure they are rinsed well, use a blow dryer to make sure they are dry, I would not use any shanpoos till they get a little older. They will be better at giving bath when they get older if you start early.

Consult your veterinarian, and also get mom spayed as soon as the vet gives the go-ahead after weaning.
