You, along with whomever calls you racist are both misusing the word. And don't use Justice either. Justice is different from every perspective.
Racist means you think an entire race is below or above another. Nothing you say, be it an ethnic slur or calling someone illegal or whatever, will MAKE you racist. Being racist has little to do with words. It's all about how you think.
You are racist if you think Mexicans/Hispanics/Etc... are below you because you're white. If you don't think that, or similarly to that with any other race. Then you're not racist.
As for being an idiot. I can't save you from that. This is a site for questions. Not to rant to make yourself feel better when someone calls you racist.

NO it doesn't make you a racist. People who think that are ignorant and want to get something that they don't want to work for. What's so hard for illegals to get green cards or American citizenships?? Not very. They just need to do it and there won't be any problems. By the way, does Mexico have any forms of birth control? It seems like they don't because of all of the Mexicans I have seen.

The Law is ,The Law. BUT would you agree that racism is a form of discrimination?? and discrimination is still ILLEGAL in this country .It is illegal to discriminate because of RACE, COLOR, or CREED, add to that age ,gender,and what else? Does it make you a racist? to call someone an illegal, well most racists don't need an excuse!!

Well....if they are an illegal resident to the country, then they are "an illegal". If that's true, then I don't see how you can be called racist for making that comment. It could be used in a racist way though. For example, if you see someone of Hispanic background, and automatically consider that person as an "illegal", then that is racist.

Only if you made a snap judgement, for example just by looking at someone foreign and making a generalisation. It's quite offensive to a legal immigrant you know. HTH : )

Depends on if they are actually an illegal immigrant or if you are making an attack on them because they are hispanic. Also on how you say it.
