I've been thinking and we all know a family is a complex web or relationships and love. But it crossed my mind if you were considering one person, lets say that person is you. Around you, you have your spouse, your child, your sibling and your parent. One of each, where would each person rank? for say if they were to all get in a fight and big very emmotional fight where from your point of view all the sides seem right. Which family member would you defend first? Last? why?

So in conclusion if that made no sense how would you rank each family member

The first thing I have to be opinionated about is this:

*Family is Family, and NO matter who is "worst" and who is "best" in our lists, the important thing is to LOVE one another!*

I cannot say my family is "perfect" because there is no such thing, (*and even if it was to exist, they would definitely be far from it!*)...But I do have to say, that no matter what I'll go through in life, (whether it is special, or horribl), I am glad to know that my family falls 100% behind me, Blessing me with their full support, knowledge, advise, and unconditional love! =)

As for the "Defensiveness" in case of arguments and chaotic tensions between family members...I guess it'll have to depend on the reasons for arguing and the purpose behind the arguments...
Even though there were times in my life when my brothers "backed me up" from sticky situations...I guess I'll also do the same to them, (*when the time was presented to me) ;-)

"Ranking" my family would be TOO hard for me...I have no room in my heart to place "Favorites"...I love them TOO much! (Yes. ALL of them! *wink*) =)

I'm pretty sure they'll say the same about me, too.
We all support each other, listen to each other, and try to see our problems through each others "shoes"...=)

Families are special, they will be there for you NO MATTER the circumstances....;-)

*BUT...(there's always a "but"...lol) if I HAD to defend someone FIRST in my family...DEFINITELY my Mother!
If I let you know why, I'll probably make you run out of breath!
since I've written SO much, without properly answering your question!...(lol)...Happy New Year's dude!

Hope everything's smooth with your fam!

I would rank my child number one. My child would be the one I would defend first and foremost. My child is my responsibility until the day I die (no matter my child's age). If my child was some how in the wrong (which could take place) I would shut everyone else up and talk to my child. I would not allow others to get into an emotional fight or physically fight with my child. As for the spouse, sibling, and parent, it all would depends on the situation. Then I would have to call it like I see it at the time.

the best way is not to defend anyone coz that might make others think that you are taking somebody's side and might trigger anger against you too.

the best way --- bring them all together (sit with tem) and ask them why they did/said whatever they did/said and ask them was it right?? also give them the reasoning why you think they are wrong.
this way family members get to know each other better and you can guide them to see what is wrong and right - coz we all go through so many things in life that we tend to forget what is right and what is wrong.

if they all were in a fight I would tell all to settle down and I wouldn't rank any of them . if they are all right . I would simply
tell them they have no reason to fight .
I wouldn't be fair to any one if I chose One over the others.
If any were wrong I would naturally rank the one/ones that are right.
