Yes. You can carry a taser. There is no state law that prohibits people from carrying a taser. Same for the asp baton. At least as far as state law goes. Some cities may have different ordinances that say something different, or have technicalities. Such as in Denver, if you are a security guard carrying a baton, you need to have proof/certification of training. I have never been asked for mine, even when I used my baton (in the line of duty) against a suspect, but it is really more in the business code than the criminal code in that instance.
In all reality, while I do not endorse it, speaking strictly according to state law, you can carry a firearm as long as you do so openly and are not a felon or in any other class that is not allowed to possess a firearm.

You will have a better chance of stunning yourself with a taser. A baton will not be effective against an adrenalined opponent especially if you swing it. You better know what to do after your first hit bounces off with no visible effect. A medium caliber handgun is the best but you must be ready to draw early before they get too close.

the laws very from state to state as to what you can carry concealed or not. and the odds are very unlikely that you need a license to carry a taser or stun gun...

Not without a license. You can't even keep a knife or a bat in your car without a license. I know, because I have a license to keep a bat in my car.
