I don't know if there is a surgery. I haven't heard of one, but you really need to go and see another Dr. get a second option..

I would get a referral from your regular Doctor, and see a G.I specialist, it might be something more then just constipation. I would talk to the doctor and get some tests done. Sometimes strictures in the intestine can cause constipation. Strictures are generally associated with Ibd which is serious. In the mean time eat a high fiber diet, no bananas, and drinks lots of prune juice. I would also try an enema or a laxative called senekot which is gentle, but gets the job done. Also, if you are taking any supplements like iron or things like that, lay off those as they can cause major constipation.

Constipation can be relieved by choosing alternative foods and drinks. Drink plenty of fluids and try high fiber foods. My son has a genetic disorder that causes constipation like no other. We put a tsp. of Karo syrup in his breakfast every morning This can be found in grocery stores everywhere. This coats his colon and helps relieve the discomfort and actually softens his stools. Olive oil works well too. I would try to do these other things before surgery. If these other things don't help you need to see a gastroenterologist, he or she will be able to help diagnose the true problem and maybe help you with your problem.

no there's not surgery but there's medication to make the stool softer and if you have constipation problems all the time then take stool softeners 2 to three times a week.

as far as I know, there's no surgery for constipation. Check with a Board Certified Gastroenterologist to find out what's causing it and what to do to fix it.

You should see a doctor and see what he can do.
I would not want surgery until I had tried everything else including medicines.
