He is TOO old to be chasing after a 13 y/o girl, tell your friend to stay away from him and if that doesn't work you should talk to her parents. I know that dosen't sond "cool", but you will be saving your friend alot of grief in the end, not to mention that it is VERY illegal!!

It's ok when both persons are older. A 13 yr old girl has a level of matutity completely different to a 18 yr old guy, she can be easily manipulated and persuaded. When I was 13, I must admit that I also looked towards older guys but all they want to do is get in your pants. No serious 18 yr old is gonna want to go out with a preteen just because he's 'in love', advice her no to be naive and grab the bull by the horns.

5 years difference is fine when you're adults. But definitely NOT when you are 13! There is a huge difference between 13 and 18... not to mention that sex with a 13 year old is illegal in some countries. It's not a wise move for either of them.

At this age it is not OK.
It would be OK if she was 20 and he was 25.
They are each at very different developmental stages.
13 and 16 is a closer match but still kinda far apart and it would really depend on the kids themselves.
An 18 yr old may be thinking about intercourse and 1 13 yr old shouldn't at this age.
There are other social factors that are more pratical like dating and sharing friends.
Attractions are weird - just don't spend together and spend more time with kids your own age.

For a 13 year old, I'd say it's wrong. No offense to your friend, but that's just usually how it is. Now, for a 26 year old and a 31 year old, yeah. (I have to condone that...that's the age difference between me and the guy I'm seeing now.)
There's just so much out there that 18 year olds know that 13 year olds have no clue about.
I know this is probably not the answer that your friend wants to hear, but I have a feeling that I'm not the only one who's going to answer this way...

I like a guy 9 years older, but then I'm 18 which makes it different because we're both legal. That part is important. Also, at 13 you're not ready for sex and at 18 you're having it, so maybe she should grow up a little. 18 year old guys are into college chicks and girls with boobs, not spongebob and training bras.

At these ages, it is not appropriate; hence, that is why they have laws against this. 13 year old children do not have the maturity level of an 18 year old. Therefore, the 18 year old has the capacity to take advantage of an impressionable 13 year old.
A 5 year difference isn't that significant as the individuals reach adulthood.

i think that love could have not got any age limits (interior of reason, etc. it could be extraordinary between a 13 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old and a 18 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old). Age hardly concerns. My grandparents have been 15 years aside and had a protracted and chuffed courting. My mothers and fathers have been 9 years aside and divorced. That in simple terms proves that age transformations hardly count, as something can ensue. as long as you like him, and he likes you, it could artwork out advantageous. choose for it!

*sigh* 18 year old guys are not going to have a long term relationship with a 13 year old. think about it. he's either getting ready to graduate from highschool or already has and she hasn't even gone to highschool yet. i hate to burst yalls bubble but 18 year olds dating 13 year olds only want sex. they think the young girls dont know any better yet and then they can have their way with them. it's sad really. or maybe he acts like he's 13 still but in that case he still just wants sex lol. he needs to date girls his age who are going through the same things he is (highschool, driving, getting ready for college, starting to get out in the real world, ect.). they aren't at the same point in life. she should wait a few years. besides it's illegal. he's an adult now.
