can't figure out how to disassemble steering assembly to allow for replacement of steering coupling.

I had to get one at Pepboys, and make it fit :(

the coupler is secured to the steering gear on a splined shaft--one bolt secures the collar around the splined shaft when loosened --the coupler will slide off the steering gear --two bolts securing the coupler to the steering column will need to be loosened a taken out --reverse process for replacement---if the working clearance is too tight--you might need to loosen the steering column from the floor board approximately four screws secure it to the floor--- and then there are two under the dash

pain in the butt.when looking at rag link you will see 2 things sticking up that look tike long bolt heads.they are actuall rivets and must be cut out.your replacement will come with bolts to put back.

there are a lot of places on the net that will show.. i do not remember where they are. but i have used them before. ..and they were great
