I am in California also if you do not know the site but know what is necessary for the seller to do before selling the vechile I would appericate the information.

if its 75 or newer it need to be smog,you must give a smog cert,you need to sign the title and give a bill of sale to the new owner, keep a copy of each for you,if i can help. dmv.verifier@yahoo.com

Not that I'm aware of, but it's a pretty straight forward procedure. First you must have a clear title. If there is still a legal owner on the title, pay it off and take in the lien release to have them removed. Advertise the vehicle, and when you sell it you sign in the proper place and they sign in the proper place, and the signatures are notarized, and you send in the form and fees showing that you are no longer responsible for the vehicle.

It's best to go to the DMV (or whatever office handles such things) with the buyer and do what needs to be done there.

is it payed off/do you have the title? go to staples & get a bill of sale in the document section & find a place you can goto to get it noterized @ the time of sale. clean it VERY nice becaues it helps and get a overall inspectionw/ oil change. a story of why it has to go helps as to why you would get rid of such a great car.
