i love my dad and is the best there is (to me)! I guess i feel sorta embarassed. i dont know why though.Maybe because i look up to thim and don't want him 2 think i'm stupid. I know he would never think that though.my mom normally asks 4 me but she said now that i'm 12 i have to ask myself. My pparents r very over protective.

Just keep in mind that our parents are here to take care of us and to do things for us. Most parents want to give their children what they couldnt have. They worst that could ever happen is he says no. Which I dont think he will if you pay him back. He loves you. Your not wonderwoman, you need your dad! Good Luck! Just make sure he's in a good mood before you ask!

Well there must be a reason for being scared to ask your dad a simple question. Maybe going to him and having a nice conversation first before you bring up the lessons might help.

Why are you so worried about asking your father? What will be required of him? You have stated that you are paying. Will he have to give you a ride to and from lessons? If not, then I don't see any reason you should be worried about asking him.

Practice on someone else, and then go for it in a mature calm manner.

We parents have to come across a little scary to keep from being doormats.......but in reality for the most part we are giant softies.

I suggest you get someone like your mum to put in a good word for you & convince him. Sometimes fathers tend to be fierce on the outside but they certainly have hearts for their kids. Give it a try! All the best.....
