he lies, and makes me sad

if he makes you sad, then there is no reason to be with him or is there something you are not telling us?
as others have said life is too short for wasting time on people and things that make us sad or upset us.
true life is full of ups and downs but a good life is one where there are more ups than downs (if you know what i'm talking about). So move on find someone who does make you happy and whom you can make happy just by being with that person.
remember thogh that true love comes along very infrequently in this short life of ours so if you think you still love the guy deep down and there are issues that you and he need to work out, talk to him about what the problems are and what he needs to do to resolve those problems, you may find that to be happy together a compromise between what you want and need and what he wants and needs would work best to get you both to stay together assuming that you still have feelings for the guy concerned and you want to try and work things out.
If not and you really do want to ditch him then all i can say is do it. find a guy that will treat you how you want to be treated, go out and do things with you that you both will love.

Remember relationships are hard work and you have to fight to keep them alive andkeep the romance burning at all times.
you have to ask him why he lies to you is it bacause he is attempting to keep secrets or does he want to go out with his mates and lies to you telling you he is going to be somewhere else and he thinks by telling lies that that is better for the relationship? really the only one that can answer the questions is the guy you are concidering ditching.

just remember that most people tell little white lies sometimes, it is not right but people do lie. often attempting to spare the feelings of the person being lied too.

remember too that not every guy will lie and make you sad, there are a few good guys still out there (speaking as a 33yr old single male myself seeking the love of a local girl over 21yrs but thats my problem)
I just hope you try to work things out before you ditch him if that is what is best in your situation. if not just go out and i'm sure that a great guy will soon approach you and ask for your number, be ready to it and take it slowly, but i didn't really need to say all that now did i. you know already what you need to do with your life to make the improvements you want and need to make you truly happy.

good luck.

Think about all of the good things you do together. Then consider all of the things he does that really upset you. If you can't think of any good things and bad things seem to outweigh the rest, then it may seem as if your relationship is doomed.
But, on the other hand - does he know how upset you are? Have you spoken to him about your feelings? Will he ever change? Answer these questions, then think hard about your future together. Do you see it getting any better? Do you see yourself with him forever? If the answer to these last questions is no, i would suggest that the only way is to end it. Move on, you WILL get over the initial grief and sadness after a while, then who knows? You may end up with someone who will treat you the way you want to be treated..... Take care :-)

Get rid of him. There is nothing wrong with being single for awhile. Go out with friends, have fun! Be the play-er for a change. If he cared about you he would not lie or make you sad. Go find someone better!

No matter what ! Life is full of mystery and true love does exist , so do the happy endings ! WE have to be strong and work hard and of course have faith . Wait untill the storm passes you by . Wait for God ! Also if you watch a movie Notebook , it's going to cheer you up ! Worked for me ! :)

I believe personally that if your relationship makes you feel lonely then it is no real relationship at all - - - GO GET SOMEONE WHO DESERVES YOU AND WILL TREAT YOU AS NUMBER 1!!!
