A guy at my work asked me out, so now I know he likes me, but I turned him down because of my parents, and I told him that. Do you think he will continue to act awkward around me (i.e. avoiding me) because I said no or will we just go back to being friends/coworkers?

I didn't lie to him at all. I really am not allowed to date; is it wrong for me to tell the truth?

Well first of all, if you actually don't feel the same way back, you need to tell him that. If your parents are the only reason why, then you do not have a good reason why you turned him down. That's probably why he's so weird around you now. He's upset that the reason you turned him down is terrible. I understand that you don't want to disappoint your parents, but at the same time, what matters is are YOU happy. If you are happy, and your parents are the only reason between you two, then you need to let your parents know what they're doing is wrong.

all of us adventure anxiety when we frame of mind someone we actually like and have not talked to a lot. most of the reason adult men and gals use fb is that it makes it a lot less complicated to communicate. i hit upon it a lot less complicated to envision with someone at the same time as i'm in a crowd because i'm afraid i visit claim something incorrect. try speaking for your guy in a set placing then later bypass on to personal conversations.

From experience Iknow that it will be akward for a while but sooner or later it will go back to normal. But you should not try to do anything that will make him remember that you turned him down.
