ok well i am a 14 year old girl and in the past week or 2 i have started getting headaches but they are very short, like less than a minute and dont hurt badly. and for a long time, (i dont know exactly how long) sometimes when i get up from sitting down or laying down i get all these bright spots like that completely cover what i am looking at and go away after a couple of seconds and for the past couple of weeks i have had a cold on and off. what could it be? anything too dangerous?

You should see a doctor. Your symptoms sound like migraines or symptoms of migraines. Bright lights (or sometimes refered to as an aura) noise, caffeine, chocolate, stress, flashing lights, etc can be symptoms of migraines. You could also have low blood pressure...the things you described have happened to me when I get up and my doctor said I had low blood pressure. You can't say if anything medical is dangerous without talking to a medical professional who is qualified to make that decision. Good Luck!

You are young and wise to question something which seems unusual!

It could be blood pressure or something more. It could be normal (for your body). Suggest seeing a health professional ASAP to find out for sure.

Most folk on 'Answers' are not qualified to answer such a question. Likely, tests are needed.

Have you talked to your parents about the headaches?
