Found out that neighbor kicked doxy. Her hip is sore. Does anyone know any home remedies that can make her feel better? Nothing is broke, just sore and can't affored vet right now.

You can give buffered aspirin for swelling and pain at the rate of 5 mg. per/lb every 12 hrs.

My dogs love a warm tub bath. So why not give Doxy a warm soak in epsom salt. This will really help her plus the aspirin like was mentioned.
But it is really important that the neighbor not be allowed near doxy ever again. Some people are mean to animals and it doesn't always stop at kicking. So keep doxy well away from this person.

Similar to care for a human. If area is swollen you can apply ice pack for 15 minutes at a time for a day or so. And the aspirin mentioned.

Gentle massage of hip area to ease the muscle that may be "tight". If not swollen can use heat pad to ease that muscle and then massage. Try to work the hip joint gently as she will allow. She'll let you know if too much! Keep her walking some so won't get stiffer on her.

As for the neighbor, "abuse" of an animal can be reported. Check around for a humane society, ASPCA, animal shelter regarding local laws on this.

if you can't affored a vet you should not have a dog, give your dog to some one who cares about it
