There is no such thing as "believing" in evolution. It's a matter of accepting evolution for the fact that it is.

Note: The only reason these people reject evolution is because they can't (or refuse) to contemplate how evolution (via genetic mutation and natural selection) could have created life like our own.

Its a theory, and a very week one at that. Plus Evolutionist have to keep changing their theory as science keeps proving them wrong. Also the earth is not old enough for sophisticated species to evolve much less primordial soup to actually turn into anything.
Ken Ham at answers in Genesis (AIG) has some great resources some are free to college students but require a phone call you can always find some of his talks as MP3's on the web to listen to free I think there are some at the sermon archive.
here is the list of answers to questions on his web page

There is another gentle man Hugh Ross who is a scientist that disproves evolution but be prepared you will be studying DNA chains he also believes in a Gap theory which is not biblical he missed the mark that if God created Adam as a mature male that he could do the same with the earth.

I'd like to make a quick answer, but there isn't one. In Lee Strobel's book, the Case for Faith, there is an entire chapter dedicated to the theory of evolution where he interviews Walter Bradley, PhD. It goes into detail the flaws of Drawin's theory, such as the lack of fossil evidence, which Darwin himself agreed would break down his theory. Also, in Darwin's time, it was thought that cells were just blobs of protoplasm, but since then we've discovered the complexity of a single cell. There was also the thought that the earth had been around for billions of years, although new science discoveries are pointing to the earth being several million, not billions, which may sound like a long time, but really isn't for complex evolution.
There just isn't enough evidence for me to believe in it.
Believe it or not, the more questions I have, the more my faith is strengthened in my search for the truth.

It is because they have not evolved. They refuse to accept anything that is not literal. The earth is in a constant state of evolution. If the creationist don't believe that , so be it. Politicians most likely love creationist because they tend to believe all and anything they are told.

DNA is essential for life to exist and can only be produced by life. How, when no life existed, did DNA come into existence?

On another note, Time magazine published an article a few years back titled "Mother Eve". They took samplings of DNA from a cross section of women worldwide from all major ethnic classifications. The test showed the DNA characteristics from all the women tested went back to one single woman!

I'm all for science, read the scientific back-up for the bible in the book "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey. Peace :-)

If evolution were true, there would be untold millions of intermediate stages of progression both in the fossil record and in living creatures today. Given the extraordinary complexity of the simplest forms of life, the process would have to be quite rapid. Even if you consider the incredible complexity of even one organ, such as the eye. There would have to exist observable evidence abounding. Then if you consider the interdependence of species - some ants can only survive by living in a certain kind of tree. Frankly, I simply have seen no proof at all. Nothing more than isolated dots with lines drawn between them, like the imagined constellations envisioned by some in the stars of the sky; like the man in the moon. I personally believe it is just wishful thinking.

Some do. My mother is a Christian (i.e., Creationist) and she... somehow... still believes in Evolution also.

what gets me is why do people care one way or the other.I love God and the Spirit of God is with me. and I love Jesus also. and what I am concerned with is right here right now and my relationship with the Holy spirit and with people arguing about when God did this or that. its just ridiculous to me to even put that much thought and time into it all.what does it matter?.not one darn thing.nothing. zip.what matters is right here right now.The devil is getting in you all.making you ignore what is truly important.getting on your knees and praying is whats important. asking Gods guidance. doing Gods will. that's what is important. But God did make everything.Haveing total undoubting faith is most important

Because they take the bible too literally and they can't understand even the simplest of scientific concepts, therefore, can not process the evidence as important information.

What I'm really trying to say is that they are stupid.
