You will think this is CRAZY and something like w witch Doctor advice, but if you have a small potato, core it out just a big enough spot to put over the finger covering the splinter, or you can grate the potato and put the peelings on top of the splinter, cover with a bandage and wait until morning.
I dont know how but it works a very old lady told me to do this when I had a splinter in my big toe, I slept with a cored out potato on my toe & that splinter was drawn up enough the next morning to pull with tweezers. I dont know how but it draws the splinter upwards and out. OH the potato was black only in the area where the splinter had been.
TRUE STORY I SWEAR!

well if you can't see it it might even be a very tiny cut..its happened to me before, but if you know it is a glass splinter then the best thing to do is try to go under bright light and try taking it out with a tweezer, but don't go at it too much b/c it can get infected (so have alcohol nearby)...if not just let it be for a couple days b/c your own organism will expulse it automatically..

This may sound crazy, but I read somewhere that you can put some white glue ( like school glue ) on your skin where the splinter is and let it dry. Then peel it off and the splinter may come out with the glue.
Can't hurt and it might work.

Put white elmers glue on the spot where the splinter is at,let it dry thoughly, peel the elmers off and the splinter will come out as you pull the glue off....this also works for black heads on the face....

Put some Elmers glue over it and let it dry then peel it off the glass or any sliver will come out. Sometimes just pressing a piece of tape over it will pull it out too

Wrap a sticking plaster round it (the sticky part of the plaster not the pad) and leave it for a few hours. When you peel it off it will take out the splinter.

I had a glass splinter in my foot. At first I thought it was a wart growing. I went to my medical doctor and he removed it very quickly and with no pain. By the way, it was infected by the time I went in. I would suggest going in to your doctor.

it's really important that it comes out - my mom had a sliver that ended up giving her blood poisoning...soak it for 15min in salt water (just 1c of water and 1tbsp. of table salt)...do it a couple of times if you need to and pat it dry and put a band aid over it with some ozonal or polysporin...should clear up in a couple of days max!
