She wants you to watch over them. She must trust you a lot.

Don't worry. You won't roll over them because your body has insticts and it knows that the kitten is there. Also, the crook of your arm is a very warm place, if you never noticed and maybe since you are her wner, thecat feells tht her kittens will be very safe during the night.

Joints tend to be warmer than other areas of our bodies. If you keep your crooked arm close to your side it is also close to your heart. Yes, it all sums up to trust for you and protection for her babies, but she also knows the kittens will be less disturbed if they are warm and can hear a heart beat. She may also be trying to get them to adjust to you, as well. If you are concerned about hurting them, you may want to move her nesting area nest near a warm heating vent. If that does not work, you may try bringing it closer to your bed. You may also want to find a travel clock with a faint ticking sound that you can put next to the nest as young animals feel comforted by a sound similar to their mother's heart beat.

it is a heat thing. kittens need warmth and the mother cat is using you so she can go do things. you will notice when the kittens get bigger they will select your air pit and you neck under your hair. it is warm and more like the heat they get from mommy. they will also try to suckle you in those areas.
don't worry so much about hurting them they are stonger than you think. I had one under my knees and tangled in blankets all night and I have no idea how it lived but when it got older it did it almost nightly

You never know what you might do when you fall asleep, so maybe you'll just have to keep your bedroom off limits to all cats at all times until the little ones get a bit bigger. It's a nice gesture of the mama cat though.

Maybe she thinks that you would be a great baby sitter and when you absorb that thought, it will be time for her to go out on the town with her favorite Tom.
