To the answer above. Interesting thought. When you say

"For instance, The Bible tells us God is love, but when I examine his supposed creation I find evidence of a lack of love... the lion rips apart the deer, the crocodile inflicts incalculable pain and suffering on it's victims..maybe God loves lions and crocs more than he does deer etc. but for someone who could do anything he wants but chose to create like that ..to me smacks of a lack of love and kindness to his creation."

You need to fully understand the creation of God and animals. First it starts off with the soul. The most noblest thing in the universe..is the human soul. The human soul consists of two distinct powers. First, the intellect and second free-will. Yes a human soul is not a physical thing, and neither is a animals soul. The difference though, is that an animals soul doesn't consist of substance, that is : an intellect. That's what separates the human soul from the animals soul.

The human soul, again, consists of the intellect. The human soul, does not need physical attributes such as organs of a brain to have an intellect. It already has that understanding. The animals soul however, doesn't consist of an intellect. It consists of sensibility, in other words making sense of things. Having said that, an animals soul would need physical attributes to make sense of things such that of a brain, eyes, nose, ears, and touch to make sense of things. In addition because animals have no intellect, they use these senses and it becomes the animals instinct. So when a sheep sees a wolf in the distance, its reaction is to run and hide, and it doesn't do this because it is using it's intellect, but its senses and instinct. If a human on the other hand sees a wolf, its first reaction isn't to run. A human person can reason the situation, and can choose to grab his gun or run and hide or leave the wolf alone. etc..

Understand? Basically, the animals existence is for the greater being... the human person.

P.S. "The invisible things of Him are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made" (Romans 1:20)

P.P.S. "All that is made manifest is light" -- In other words, to see things clearly in the dark, you need to turn the lights on. Light = Knowledge.

when mankind refused to follow God’s instructions, they suffered the consequences. This did not mean a loving God does not exist. God had warned them in advance what would happen; so it was man, not God, that was responsible for the suffering, sickness and death that followed.—Gen. 1:27, 28; Deut. 32:4, 5; Eccl. 7:29........... Human wickedness and suffering have been tolerated only because an issue was raised in the garden of Eden..........This called into question God’s creatorship and his justice in demanding obedience as a condition for life and yet seemingly not creating man with the capability of remaining loyal to God............God has allowed a set period of time to settle this question of whether men can remain faithful under test(job 2:9)...........Very soon Satan and all the human suffering ......Creator who will provide this relief by ushering obedient mankind into a righteous new system of things.—2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 12:12.

God exists, and St. Thomas Aquinas provides proof of this, in his five proofs. You have to really bring out a dictionary though to understand his logic, he was ahead of his time, and his work of The Summa is one of the greatest pieces of writing ever. Go to the link and read the 3rd Article about the existence of God.

I do think God exists. If you believe in him, you will be with him in the afrterlife, but if you dont and you have another religion, you are still going to the same person.

yes miss lady. The fact that you are breathing right now is because of God. I know all of the religious stuff can be confusing and cause controversy but if you let go of the labels and read the word of God you will find that what happened then is still happening now and that only God could: take someone out of a coma, make a baby stay alive thats premature and heal broken hearts that seem unable to get through the night.....someone has to be looking down over us all.....trust Him...pray and ask Him to show you proof.....I am a living testimony, because realistically I should not be alive....

God exists if you want him to. He is a higher form you see yourself attaining. that's it. He's a goal for you. If you say god doesnt exist, and truly believe it. Than it is your own problem.

and for the other post up there. No what you are breathing is not BECAUSE of God, it IS God. God is everywhere he is everthing.
