My daughter absolutely loves the Laugh and Learn Chair. She got it when she was 6 months and has used it at least twice a day since and she is 19months now. She loves to sit in the chair or stand and just play with the book and dance. My nephew also has one and thinks it is fantastic as well. I also recently just bought the new Bounce and Spin Zebra from Fisher Price and it is way too cute and she loves it. You can watch to see what it does online at Fisher-Price.com
Another thing that she got for her first birthday was a Couch/Bed with Dora but I know they come in Thomas the Tank and other more masculine characters. This is another one of her favourite things as she watches tv on it, reads books, has snacks and the occasional nap on it too!
Good luck!

My daughter turns two in February and I figured out (perhaps too late) that she prefers wood toys to just about anything plastic. The expensive toys with batteries seem to get left in the corner.
Although, I don't know what I would have done without the exersaucer.
I have found the wood toys to get played with the most and I am saving a lot of money!
She is still playing with the following toys that she received last year.
Wood blocks
Wood Pull along toys
Radio Flyer Wagon and Tricycle
Wood Puzzles
Check out Back to Basic Toys and Gummy Lump. Our local discount store has wood puzzles for $2 each.

I've given the pink pig with the coins as a gift to my daughter and also a 1 yr old little boy... it's almost six months later and they both still LOVE it and play with it, plus it teaches counting. Two other favorites for that age that I have are the Parents Mag. brand "Bee-boop band" it's a large drum filled with an assortment of different other instruments. Lastly, my daughter loves the Leapfrog refrigerator magnetic animal puzzle. Those all keep her busy and were very age appropriate for a one year old!

you could consistently ask for toys, clothing, and toddler aspects. yet, if I have been you, i could positioned money into your son's destiny. you ought to ask human beings to purchase him decrease value expenditures bonds or supply you cash. in simple terms make certain you open a financial employer account first. I even have 3 toddlers and that i hassle approximately how i'll help them via college. One article I examine reported that the final fee to deliver a new child to a 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days college, collectively with training, nutrition, aspects, and housing would be around $a hundred thirty,000.

Try the Soft Shapes books from Inovative Kids. They are made of soft foam and have a puzzle piece that comes out on each page and can be played with in the bathtub too. My son got his first ones for his first birthday, and he loves them! I haven't seen them in stores too much, but you can get them on Amazon. My son's favorite 1st birthday toy was his Mickey Mouse airpline rider from Kiddieland (available at Target). He loves riders so much he has 3. The toy with all the gears and lights on it is cool too!

My son got the Laugh & Learn chair for his first birthday. I thought it was wierd, but my son LOVED it. He got the leap start learning table when he was 14 months old and I wished he'd gotten it sooner. Your one year old will still get several months use out of both of these.

The pink pig is good. Pretty much anything that is big and bright will interest him. Tell him Happy Birthday for me on February 3rd! That's my birthday, too!

Little People toys are good for that age because they'll keep playing with them til they're about 18 mos-2. Also, activity cubes, little wooden puzzles, pound-a-ball...
