Have you ever met someone in life that was totally villified by other people, and you found out that they were actually a nice person when you talked to them personally. They were just the victim of bad press and a smear campaign. Could this be the case with Satan? How can you actually call someone "The Prince of Darkness" without giving the guy a chance. Any comment on this??? It may sound silly at first but look at it with an open and intelligent mind

I've met evil people in my life.

Here's the rundown: they seem OK at first, or maybe bad but in a compelling, attractive sort of way. Or maybe you feel sorry for them, like they just can't help being bad.

It's just a ploy to hook you. Evil never displays its true face until you're already well within the web. Then, it's too late to escape.

The Devil is an excellent metaphor for evil people (if you don't believe in the Devil as a real entity. Suit yourself.) Sssssooo ssssseductive. The Devil is charming, rakish, doesn't give a fig for the rules (I almost wrote "damn." But that would be a weird metaphor, saying the Devil doesn't give a damn.) The Devil promises power, comfort, riches without effort.

But there's a price. If you get what you deserve, then get what good people get. Not that everybody gets what he/she deserves. I'm not sure it always works out that way.

So, yeah, some people turn out to be better on second glance. The Devil always seems like a dandy guy at first glance. It's only later that you find out what you've gotten into. Ever hear people saying, "well, he seemed like such a normal guy until he ate all those people," or, "he was so nice until he started beating me up, but he swears he'll change!" Nice first, cruel later.

So, no, I think the Devil would be a real a$$wipe if you met him and struck up a friendship.

hi Chris: enable me make clean this for you. devil has on no account sinned in any way and isn't a "undesirable guy". devil isn't any worse than Loki, or Hades, and not extra of a sinner than Batman or Superman. If God is genuine, how do you comprehend there is no Zeus or Odin? Why are dinosaurs no longer interior the Bible? Why are cavemen no longer interior the Bible? have been Adam & Eve Neanderthals or Cro-Magnon? became Noah's flood in the past or after the Ice Age, and why isn't the Ice Age stated interior the Bible? If the Bible particularly is the "be attentive to the Lord" why did no longer he let us know of any of the failings that have been got here across considering the fact that then?

I saw demons flying around my brothers bed when I was four.or five years old. there was greenish light in the room. I had woken up terrified. one looked over at me while they flew around his bed.I screamned but no sound came out.
My mother and I can tell when we meet evil people. theres evil people and demons. and a lot more then we see.at work in this world.I trust and have faith in God and the spirit of God and the Spirit guides me.It is a real force. as the Prince of the power of the air has his force. You need to decide which one you wish to go with.they both have there advantages. but when you die you will be drug to hell by his demons.but Satan may cause you pleasure while your here.It is your choice

Satan promised he would rule the world with blood and fear and has been doing it ever since. He has taken the kings of the world, and the armies of the world and used them against the general population. He had better act quick, because in a short time, he will be bound and Christ will rule and I can't wait until that day happens.

if he is ever nice to talk to then i still wouldn't give him a chance, ofcourse he will appear cool etc.......but he is a deceiver and a liar. he will make a friend at any cost to the one he wants to be friends with. yes you may hear bad things about people and you talk to them you get along, but that doesn't mean what you heard about that person isn't true and that the person by nature is just evil or has bad intentions.

I've considered your question, and I still think I probably wouldn't like someone described as the 'embodiment of evil'. I've met many people who were deceitful, cold-hearted, and prideful- all descriptors of the devil. I generally don't like these people. Wouldn't you get mad if someone who you thought was your friend wished bad things for you and lied to you to get his way? Even if they can throw a good party.

Yes, because the Devil is clever and can immitate
an angel of light. We have to be able to discern
good from evil (and as a christian, we have the Holy
Spirit who does that for us).

The Lord of Darkness will drain the life out of you, and hold your soul until the consciousness is removed of this world.

"He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks the lie he speaks from himself, for he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44)
This is the testimony of Jesus concerning Satan. You choose who you want to believe.

It does sound silly, but you have a point!! Maybe he is a nice guy once you get to know him. OR... Maybe he starts out liking everyone but some people just irk him the wrong way and get on his nerves.
