Umm... Muhammad (peace be upon him) did NOT write the Quran, friend. He was illiterate, uneducated, but God put the word in his mouth, and that word was and is the Quran...... So, the fact that you think "Muhammad might have missed this statement about by 1700 years" is, well, Islamically incorrect.... if you were trying to say that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the author of the Quran, that is.
Now, to answer your question, the Quran DOES NOT specify if Mary, the mother of Jesus (peace be upon him, and may God be pleased with Mary) was the sister of Moses (peace be upon him). There are MANY Mary's mentioned in the Quran. For instance, there is a holy man mentioned in the Quran whose name in Arabic is "Imran". In verse 3:36, Imran's wife is given good news that she'll get a daughter whose name shall be "Maryam" (Mary). The sister of Moses was also named Mary, but she's not mentioned by name; the Quran only tells of the story about how when Moses was a baby, his mother put him in a box and put the box in the water and told her daughter to go see where the water carries the box; it doesn't say "her daughter Mary, sister of Moses and mother of Jesus" or anything.
Glad you asked the question though! Some people do mistakenly believe that Mary, sister of Moses, was the mother of Jesus! Not true!
Many Prophets came after Moses and before Jesus, some of which include David, Solomon, John the Baptist (Yahya, in Arabic), and some others (peace be upon them all).
Even if it was, though, it cannot be the same people!
Hope I answered your question! :D

The Quran is the perfect word of Allah and cannot have errors. Written by Allah, its perfection has existed since time began.
“At length she brought (the babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: ‘O Mary! Truly a strange thing has thou brought! O sister of Aaron, thy father was not a man of evil, nor your mother a woman unchaste!’" (Sura 19:27-28).
Aaron, the brother of Moses, lived and died centuries before Mary, the mother of Jesus was born; and Aaron’s sister was Miriam, not Mary.
It is an error that an Arab of the 7th Century might make, to confuse Mary with Miriam, but not a mistake that the all-knowing Allah would make.

who said that ...oh I think u miss understanding this verse
v.19: 28
" O sister of harun (Aaron) ! Your father was not a man who used to commit ,nor your mother was an unchaste woman "
this Aaron is not the brother of Musa (Moses) ,but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary).
hope u understand now
before I forget Muhammed (P.B.U.H) did not wright the Holy
Qur''an it's from God.
Jack we do believe more than that it's just that people don't give us a chance.

Moses had a sister named Miriam. Jesus' mother is also named Miriam whose anglicized named is "Mary". You don't even need to go as far as the Quran. It's in the Bible.

Hey - the Bible claims Noah lived until he was 900 years old, so whats another 800 years after that?? With lifespans of 1000 years, I could see it as a possiblity... Maybe his sister was born while Noah was really old already...
Cant fight BS with more BS man. Your Bible is as flawed as the Koran. If not moreso.

It doesn't say this. Moses did have a sister, and her name was Maryam (Miriam, or however you might want to spell it). They are two different people.
