i liked this guy the minute i meet him but he's younger than i am by a grade and a year. my friends think thats like really stupid of me to like him and i know it would never work out.... if he liked me and i liked him... would it be ok to date him secretly?

There is no reason to hide it. If you weren't in high school, noone would think anything of it.

I think your friends are wrong to try to tell you what to do. It's only one year difference. We aren't talking jail bait here. Would they be saying the same thing if he was one year older? There's no earthly reason why it wouldn't work out. There are lots of relationships where the female is one or more years older. Don't do it secretly though. Do it openly. If your friends don't like it, it's their problem.

Well, I'm going out with a guy who's a yr younger than me, and at first we tried to hide it. that didn't work out. people found out, and sure, it's the biggest thing to talk about for a couple days, but after a while, it dies down. just go out with him. it's not really that big of a deal.

You can date him in the open in front of god and everyone and why not a year makes no difference and it is great as I am sure he is great or you would not like him so good Luck,

N besides if you like him n ya'll date there is no reason to keep it in secret it will just get out anyway.

Why would it have to be a secret? My boyfriend is a year older than me and we are fine. Some of his "friends" make fun of us but we don't care. But honestly, if your friends don't support u then they are not true friends. I hope I helped.

no need to be secret. you live your own life, your friends live their own. i doubt they ever changed big decisions because of your opinion
