Thank you! I have been having trouble looking for bridesmaids gifts and I think that a gift card would be wonderful. Thank you for the suggestion. To answer your question I would rather recieve the giftcard only because I don't wear jewlery. I even told my boyfriend before he proposed that I didn't want an engagement ring because 1 I don't like most jewlery and 2. I hate diamonds. So a giftcard would be fine.

I think that if you are willing to spend $100 on a giftcard that is the best way to go. Everyone will be happy with that because they can go out and get something that they want. However, the point of a bridesmaid gift is to give your bridesmaids something that they will remember from your wedding as a thank you for them taking part in your special day. So those are two different things to consider.

jewelery...its more personal. by giving the gift card it almost says "hi....its ok you give your time to be in my wedding but I'm too caught up in my plans to actually buy you a nice gift so here is a gift card that took no thought what-so-ever" I would be angry to get a gift card if I were in a wedding. The jewelery can be worn during the wedding and its something they can keep as a reminder of your wedding. whatever they would buy with the gift card would most likely not be something to help them remember the special day. I got my MOH a trinket box engraved with her name and the date and a pewter rose engraved too.

Gift card, then you can get what you want. I got jewelery for being a bridesmaid, I have never worn it. Seems like a waste of money to me.

I would go with the gift card. That way they could go out and get something that they like. Giving jewlery is a good thing but it can be risky if that person does not usually wear jewelry or does not wear jewelry at all.

A piece of jewelry, because that would be something the bride chose herself and it would mean something. The gift card is just money, and doesn't take any thought.

I was contemplating the same thing when I got married and went with the jewellry except I ended up buying gold anklets with a gold heart that matched my necklace. The girls all loved them and always wear them as they thought it was really unique and pretty. I think it is more personal buying them a gift as every time they wear it/see it they will think of your wedding day and specifically you! Good luck with your decision and Congrats

I think I'd rather recieve the jewellery, though I'm not sure why. I think it's because you can wear it right away and admire it, and that the person put some thought into picking something out.
