If you want to, go for it. But make sure it's done professionally because blue fades quickly, their dye will be more longlasting. I would go with purple! I saw this girl at six flags once who had really long black hair and had done about 4 inches from the bottom to the tips in bright pink, it was the coolest hair I have ever seen I think.

Yeah the blue would definitely go good with your long black hair. Don't OD with the blue dye though. You might want to use a dye that will wear out fast just in case the blue doesn't go good with you. Trial and error.

I would try it with blue koooliad first to see if you like it. Then if it doesn't look good wash it out. If you do like it then get it done professionally so it stays and it doesn't look like a hack job. Personally I think it would look great based on the colour of your hair and your skin tone. Just stick with subtle streaks though. To much would take away from the look your going for.

that's a pretty big commitment if you have very long hair, because it must've taken a long time to get to that point. you can always dye it back though, so it's not a huge deal, it'll just be a bit more damaged.
i wouldn't go for thin strips, because it will blend in with your hair and make it look muddy. i would say go for bigger, chunkier streaks, but if that's too much, dye the underside, and then it'll look cool when you put it up, but you don't have to show it. you can also get the underside streaked. it looks cool.

I understand that you want to try something new, but i really don't think people look good with colored hair. It would make you look like a crayon. Go to a salon and get highlights that compliment you haircolor instead.

Whatever you do, just be careful not to damage your hair. To make the blue show on your dark hair, you might have to strip it first, and that can make your hair brittle. Let a professional do it.

i had a friend that went to my old high school who did that style same description but she was short i liked it alot not only cause it was different but because it had a sense of style, you can dye your hair purple and green it all depends on the style you're going to do to it after you dye it. it would look cute, i even did that style to someones hair and we're black but i put a cute style in it, it was for the 4th of july i did a style like that in my hair to but i put micros in so yhea it would look cute

It would probably look very good on you....but black hair is so pretty by itself!! Usually it already has some bluish highlights...but if you want to do it, dying it won't look bad at all.
