iv been going out with this girl for a couple months and we havent kiss yet and were both going to the same new years eve party
i would do it but im pretty sure her first kiss was at my 8th grade dance when my best friend made out with her in the middle of everyone and she ran away and no one could find her then next day at school everyone was calling her slut and crap and i was really the only one that stud up for her bec i knew who she was and the fact the my best friend was just looking to make out with somone and she just got caught in the moment and i was thimking it might be better to do it somewhere more romantic and away from everyone

It worked for me... I'd been friends with this girl for a couple of years, we were part of a group of college pals who hung out together a lot. But she usually had a boyfriend and I usually had a girlfriend, and yet we got along really well together, better than with any of the people we were dating.
So one New Year's Eve, we kissed.
WOW.
That was Dec 31, 1976 -- yes, this is the 30th anniversary of that kiss, and we're going to celebrate it this weekend. We got married in 1979, have three kids, and are still nuts about each other.
Now, that's not saying you have to marry the girl if you kiss her this weekend. But New Year's Eve is DEFINITELY a good time to kiss someone for the first time...
