It can help to cause breast cancer in men, yes. Estrogen positive cancer does not discriminate men from women. Recently on the news a new study revealed a large drop in breast cancer because menopausal women stopped taking hormone replacement therapy, that tells us that hormones do play a major role in cancer and estrogen is a major one.

It might be a factor, but there are other types of breast cancer that are not effected by estrogen or progestin.

And to reaffirm that guys can get breast cancer, I did chemo with a guy who also was being treated for breast cancer. I believe the rate of men diagnosed with it is only about 4% of all breast cancers
