Who's crying about it?
I remember being six years old and crying because a nun told me I was going to Hell for picking some p---y willows (little grey fuzzy things) off a branch that was in a vase on her desk. I cried a lot back then, but I don't now.
I ask questions because I am interested to read the answers, and I have as much right to do that as anyone else. I also have just as much right to respond to any question posted here, despite the use of exclusionary language.

I think most people are looking for the truth. Maybe they have not had the same kind of teachings as you or their level of faith is not the same. People want the truth. I bet if an atheist was given proof positive he would be the first in line at Church. Sometimes, they have been taught so much in the theory of evolution, that they forget ,its a theory. For what ever reason some people just can't get the whole concept of God, but they wish they could.

Personally, because those who do insist on spending my tax dollars for furtherance of their own beliefs and indoctrination of others and cry when the Constitution of the United States (a document I have great respect for) is used against them.
If you didn't believe in Santa Claus but lived in a country that practiced discrimination, hate propaganda, even murder over the nuances in their beliefs, all while spending public money and insisting on making up historical and science facts and acting offended when challenged, wouldn't you be a bit perturbed?

We are the voice crying in the wilderness attempting to make the path straight.
Too many people use hell as a stick to beat fearful people into submission or as a whip to drive reluctant people down the wrong road or as a burning cross to convince the multitude that they are the chosen people and the others are but animals.
Go in peace to love and serve the truth.

they feel very insecure without a God or his Spirit with them.subconsciously and get defensive.because we have something they don't know how to have or to handle. and they feel that there a minority. and minority's always seem to be defensive.theres plenty of things I don't believe in. but I sure am not out there fighting with people who wont to do or say or be a certain way.but for some reason theres some people who will fight you over if there is a God or not.some people like me believe in UFOs. and I don't think there should be people always arguing with me about it. I saw one. like I have seen miracles. I have heard the voice of God thru his Spirit while in prayer. I know theres a God and a Spirit of God and that I have a soul.most people who dont beleive are rebelling against someone.I think.

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

I have never shed a tear.
My point is for those who hand out threats is that they are setting up barriers to communication by turning God into the great boogie man in the sky who will act like Nazis herding nonbelievers onto Cattle Cars bound for the great concentration camp called Hell.
Threats like that are insulting.

I personally beleive that they is no hell. I do however, beleive in god but I don't follow any specific religion. I beleive that if you do good things good things will come back to you and when you do bad things they will come back to you. I beleive that when you die you go into a state of heaven where your soul is at rest until you are born into another body. I believe you soul learns from each life you have and that when you are in you heaven state if the bad hasn't came back to you you will have it come back then but it will only be temorary. Prayer though meditation is one way to ask for help and guidence. I also beleive we are assgined guids that are souls resting waiting to come back to earth and that they influence us through thought.

You mean the Atheist contingent ? I've noticed that quite a bit.
They seem to be quite obsessed with someone they don't believe in, judging by all the questions in Religion and Spirituality questioning/denying God's existence..or mocking Christians for believing.Gee,I wonder why.

I don't know to whom you are addressing this question. I have not heard anyone crying about it. I am struck by the fact that in your question you refer to God and Hell but make no mention of Heaven. Why is that?
