i used to care about my boyfriend a lot. and i decided that since he let's me live with him and i don't pay rent..that i would splurge a little on his gift...i got him a Wii for christmas...i camped out in WALMART for it and everything b/c i cared about him that much...but he's been awful and we broke uP...the final straw was the fact that,[and we weren't planning on seeing each other on christmas] he didn't even wish me a "merry christmas" on @##ing christmas day...along with the fact that we've been dating a year and a 1/2 and he's never introduced me to ANY of his family members! NONE...and only ONE of his friends.

how awful!

anyways...

would it be wrong to ask for the Wii back?

my friends say i should get it back from him

we broke up yesterday

i'm picking up my TV tomorrow from there anyway

let me know!

thanks for the help!!

Sounds like that would be very NOT classy to ask for it back. But if you aren't.... then get it back!

Well, technically you gave it to him as a gift and a thank you so no you shouldn't ask for it back. But there is no harm in asking him if he even wants it anymore is there? He might not, and then you could have it back free and clear.

Don't ask for it back, just find out if he still wants it when you p/u the tv.

You gave it to him as a gift, your not entitled to it back. He let you live there rent free, and you think he owes you. You need to take only what is really legally your stuff, otherwise he can take you to court and make you pay for anything of his that was not legally yours.

Sounds Like you dated a jerk! Ask for it back or just take it, you paid for it and he didnt even wish you a Merry Christmas!

If you already gave it to him and you haven't been paying any rent, you probably shouldn't ask for it back. If you would have held out and waited for x-mas, you clearly wouldn't be in this situation.

If he is willing to give it back, yes...did you buy it for the both of you? If so...take it, but if you bout it solely for him as a gift...it's his. Are you willing to give whatever gifts he bought for you back to him? Do so and take your WII...if you bought the item for the both of you to enjoy, then give him back half of whatever he got for you...

Consider it rent and move on. If you ask for it back he'll probably ask you for rent.

it was a present, so you shouldn't ask for it back. Now, I did not say that it should not mistaking fall in one of your boxes by mistake. (hint, hint)

Chalk it up to experience, never do more for a guy than what he has done for you.

Sorry to say, but, gift is gift. You're not supposed to take it back from him.
