I would give most of it to my favorite charities. I would spend the rest on a new house.

Buy my parents and sister a huge house. Payoff all their bills and whatnot. Then buy myself a pimp bachelors pad and couple of nice rides. I would then put a lot of the money away in investments and live off the interest.

Build my family's dream house and donate the rest to the ASPCA, cancer research, and the starving children you see on TV. I'd also save a little and whenever I saw a homeless person on the street I'd give him (or her) like $500.

everybody that listed all the good stuff they would do for people did not read the question -it says first thing you would do - I think the first thing I would do is TELL somebody ,heck ANYBODY I am afraid I would bust with news like that -it would take a rare individual that could keep it TOTALY secret!lol

1st thing = invest as much as I could, saving some on the side for the basic splurges (house, car, vacation, family etc.) so that I'd have money making money.
After that money grew, then I could give lots and lots to charity, etc without worring about my family's future finances.
