If your departure is from the US, the only way you can bring wine on the plane as a carry-on is if you bought it after passing through the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint -- as others noted, the duty free shop.

Otherwise, you can pack and seal the bottle it really carefully (like bubble wrap) and send it in your checked luggage. Some wine stores are now selling padded boxes to pack bottles inside checked luggage.

If your departure city is other than the US, I suggest you check with the airport operating authority in that area to find out how you can carry a bottle of wine.

Good luck and bon voyage!

You can place into your checked baggage only. You CANNOT carry it on the plane. There is a 3oz maximum for any kind of liquids. Go to you airlines website or the TSA.gov website for any questions you may have. Click on 3-1-1.

There is no rule against alcohol per se ... but since August, all liquids are banned as carry ons (with the exception of small bottles of toiletries brought on in quart sized bags).

Yeah, you can. Buy it at duty free as well so you dont pay tax on it! I've taken a bottle of vodka on a plane before with no problems.

But since the terrorists had to rune it for everyone, it might be harder nowadays.

Yes, of course you can. Just always remember to put any liquids, gels, or creams over three ounces in your checked luggage, to be stored in cargo. Even if the bottle is half full or less, still check it through to cargo.

i dont think so but i am not sure just ecause of what just happend i belive there is a limet on how much liued you can bring and i think a wine bottle would be past the limit, so i would just wrp it up good and put it in your bag that you are checking in.

Sorry, but no!No liquids are allowed past security since about 6 months ago. You can check it in, but your odds of not breaking it a re slim.

A few ounces on carry-on. Almost any liquid in checked luggage.

No. First because they'd want you to buy theirs but also because you can't really bring liquid things on a plane.
