for 9 days. What could be going on here?

You haven't really been dating long enough for it to be an issue as the relationship is still budding. If you date for 6 months and he still doesn't want you to meet his family, then there is likely to be problem.

It's only been 9 days. Maybe he is ashamed, maybe he has another friend of the family? Maybe he just doesn't want to deal with it all and his mom and he may not get along, she may have a problem maybe alcohol or worse and he doesn't feel like opening up that to you.There could be many reasons just don't jump to conclusions. The best thing to do is ask. He should tell you something, true or not and you can take it from there.

well seeing as its only been for 9 days i would wait till u get to round the 1 - 2 month mark to start worrying about that. also it could be because that he isnt that sure that his family would like you or whether ull like them.

If you're both teenagers then he is just like any other teenager. He takes the same attitude that anyone does at that age, that parents are embarrasing and uncool and are likely to show you up. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with his family.

or maybe theyre hella fat and hes embarrassed...

I say it depends on how long you have been going out. If it's been more than 6 months and it's serious tell him your gonna have to meet them sooner or later. Tell him sooner is always better than later.

give yourself a little more time before you meet his family and he meets yours. Meeting family is a major commitment and you haven't known each other long enough to make one.
