That link didn't work, but I've been to three Muslim countries and I've heard the prayer call a lot. It sounds interesting and it sort of fitted well into the culture in those countries. Sometimes it sounded very nice, sometimes it sounded truly horrible, depending on the voice and tone of it each time. But to be honest I wouldn't want to have to hear it all the time. I'm glad that religious calls like that are not allowed where I live. I don't think it's necessary to call people to prayer like that, they can remember to do it by themselves if they feel it's important. Broadcasting this stuff all over the place five times per day (including at nights) is harassment in my opinion and completely unnecessary.

Well my computer is too slow to alow me to listen to this version btu I have heard it alot and to me it depwends on the singer. Sometimes it can eb beautiful, calm, and nice sounding. But other times it does sound like an animal dying. I am Muslim and at one point my Father had put it on the computer to go off at prayer times. It went off at 5:30 in the morning and let me tell you it didn't sound so beautiful juast then. but honestly it really depends on the singer. It is just liek any song. except this onbe is a religious call to prayer. But ya I wouldn't liek to live somewhere where it went off all the time. i doubt I could handle it. i can bearly stand church bells

I happened to see a show last night where you could hear the "call to prayer" in the distance. I thought it was beautiful, haunting sound.

Yes it is beautiful. Don't say i am deffending it because I am muslim. It sounds beautiful and the meaning is beautiful to. I think it is a great way to gather people and pray. WHen muslims hear this call (athan) they drop everything they are doing and go pray.

with hearing your link or without...it is beautiful not because also i am Muslim but i hear it everyday and wait for it so i hear the other adahn...without knowing its meaning you won't like it because you won't feel the words and how it touches your heart like the bell of the church i find so simple like the bell of our door everyone can hear it in everywhere this my opinion on it with my respect to all Christians...

I think it is beautiful depending on the man's voice. They should really beautify it and put passion into what they're saying so that people will actually get off their a$$ and pray hahah
