Well if you really think that she would do that then I would just say that she looks nice today aswell. Just try to get on good terms with her ask if you can see eachother away from the office. Try to build a relationship even if it's just a friendly one first. Just be patient and see where things go.

First of all, think about this.... is dating fellow employees common in your line of work or not? If so, relax but use caution. If it's not common, be very careful. Also, consider if you do end up dating and it doesn't work, will this be a problem at work? Probably so. I have dated girls at work before and none of them worked out. Always ended up being awkward and I even got written up once for it. NOW, IF YOU STILL WANT TO GO FOR IT, start with something casual. As her if she wants to go for coffee, or better yet, happy hour. Then you can feel her out more outside of work. Don't come on too strong the first time out, but give her all the signals. Good luck!

It sounds like she is already flirting with you but if your worried about whether she really likes you and howd she take a compliment why not keep it casual and freindly.

There would be nothing wrong with telling her she looks nice today. Smile alot and use good eye contact when she talks with you.

When you feel more confident then ask her out for coffee or see if a group of you from work could all meet after work for lunch and invite her along and see how she responds. Happy Holidays!
