Sales tax is anywhere from 6.5% to 9.75% depending on where.
Income tax is ABSURD. I pay about 30% of my pay in taxes.
Property taxes and school taxes vary by area, but most of them are ridiculously expensive in the area I live in. (Orange/Rockland counties)
