your experiences. Your experiences shape who you are, and yes they obviously have an influence on you. People experience the same thing in different ways. This is why you have MILLIONS of people who have read the bible and say it means different things. They expereince the exact same words, yet draw different things from it.
For example sit with 5 people and tell them to write down the first thing that comes to their mind when you say a particular word. Then say the words "war, religion, god, etc". They will NOT all write the same things. This is because they understand, interpret, and visualize certain things in different ways. They were not BORN knowing what these things mean to them, (saying that a brain is the only source for decisions would mean that they do) and would instead write things that are important and valid through their own experience and learning.
Go to google and research the word "existentialism".

No, we learn to be logical, to use common sense. Just because you may have an aptitude for art or music, doesn't necessarily mean you'll become an artist, you may be a business person who paints or plays the guitar as a hobby. Free will, personal choice. We don't always make our choices according to our instinct.

Now that I think about it, you're right. Nature or nurture, all thought processes, emotions, sensory perceptions, hormonal activity, all of it is about the brain. For someone who has one, I can be a bit slow at times ;-)
So what do you think it is? Free will? Random? Pre-determined? If it is all pre-determined based on how we are "hard wired", then nothing is accidental and none of us act, we just react.

Well, you choose what you want to experience don't you? Mostly.
Even if you don't you can certainly choose how you want to react to that particular experience.
