Well maybe a lot of what you perceive to be their anger is just your parents being worried for you and your well-being. Afterall, I'm sure they've heard the horror stories on talk shows and the television news! Maybe they just feel that you're perfect as you are? I don't know.
It IS your body and if you are paying for it with your own earned money, you should be allowed to do what you want but just make sure to know for sure that is what you want to do.

You can't control someone else's emotions. If the parents are going to get mad, there's nothing you can do. If the daughter is paying for the implants and is old enough, then she should not worry about her parents. She might like to find out WHY the parents would be so upset... there might be some valid concerns the daughter hasn't taken into consideration yet.

As a parent, I am sure of this fact: parents WILL get mad at something like that. Parent's will do that, sometimes because they feel excluded, ignored, or protective... it's normal. I'm guessing your question is more like, "should the parents have a say about what their daughter does if she is a legal adult?" My daughter is 19 and I've come to grips with the fact she is now her own person. I don't approve of some of the beliefs, habits, or decisions she's adopted or made... and I've given her my opinions and feelings. Bottom line, though, is that it is HER life... I can only provide input, but she has to make her own decisions.

Parents are parents. They care for your well-being no matter how old you are or how much money you make. Do they have the right to get mad, in my opinion if you live in their house and are still pretty young (<23 or so) it's their house and their rules. If you're on your own then go for it!
But if you're not happy with who you are now, what and when will you become truly satisfied with who you are is the real question you should be posting.

They are probably just concerned. If they are in any way providing support for this daughter, they might actually deserve some input. If she spends her money and they have to pay her bills or give her money, then it isn't fair to them. My sister splurges with her own money, and my parents just paid her cell phone bill-she's almost 20 and on her own, going to college.

If she is over eighteen i would think so. and if she is old enough and paying for her own wages. I'm sure any parent would get somewhat upset to know that their little girl got a boob job.

Well, I remember my mom was none too happy with ME when I got my tattoo(s). I was WAY old enough (early 30's), and I definitely paid for it myself. But she got all snippy and huffy and puffed up, and said she certainly wouldn't have babysat for me if she had known that was where I was going. LOL--she didn't even think it was funny when I told her if anything ever happened to me at least she could identify my body. That was over 20 years ago, though....and she eventually got over it.

I suppose they have the right to be disappointed in their daughter if they don't agree with the choice, but they really can't say anything if daughter is over 18 years.

as a parent i would be upset. parents love their children just as they are. They are probably thinking of possible side affects that could be harmful to her also. They are probably more concerned and worried then they are mad....
