I just got my nose pierced about 2 weeks ago and I'm starting to look for an everyday wear nose ring. There are so many options. The nose screw, the nose ring, the stud, the corkscrew, and the flex ones. I know every ones taste is different but what has worked for you? I want something that is real gold, a small stone and something that I can sit inside my nose without me having to worry about it coming out. Cost and insertion pain isn't an issue.

I am totally biased towards the nose screw. That is all I'll wear in my piercing and I've had my nose pierced for 7 years now.

I've tried the studs (the ones with small balls on either end) and I'll never wear them again. They may be called nose bones too, I'm not 100% of the difference. I realize you said insertion pain isn't an issue but these are very painful to remove and actually cause more trauma to your piercing every time you change them.

I believe you can get the screws in gold with a small stone. I wear surgical stainless steel with a small ball and have had no problems with it falling out. The only problem I do have is sometimes the screw part that is inside of the nose can be seen. I haven't done this myself but you can buy just a straight rod with the stone at one end and have it bent to fit your nose properly so that part of the screw is always hidden. Your piercer may be able to bend it for you. Mine said she would for other jewelry I have for another piercing.

http://www.anotherhole.com/ and http://www.tribalectic.com/Home.asp have some jewelry options. I have bought from both and really like the first site although the selection isn't quite as much as the second.

I started with the studs, but always had problems with them coming/falling out so I went to a small gold hoop. I got it at a Piercing/Tattoo store. I can't remember how much it was, but I am thinking it was under $30. It is a 20 gauge, and fit perfectly in the hole in my nose. I have worn this ring for about 9 years now and have never had any problems. Plus, because it is not really sparkly or anything some people don't even notice it....works out well at work :-) good luck!

do not get the corkscrew it is a pain in the butt to get out and sometimes to get in. I chose just a plain diamond stud not to big.
And i change tham when i go out to something different i like to be different just look around and try a few out and you will find the one that looks best ask some friends to go with you and let them helpyou or someone that you dont know maybe that can help you
like you said a small stone wouldbe perfect you will hardley even know that you are wearing one not like you can feel it in you nose unless you get a cold then you might have to take it out alittle more sanitary

Nose-screws to me are painful and rather difficult to take in and out, the jewels can fall out of studs and the nose-bones can be painful to take in and out as they stretch the hole. I've had my nose pierced for quite a few years now and I can comfortably say I support hoops the most. They're the easiest to clean and never move around or snag or anything, I have a captive-ring in mine and I've had no trouble with it.

I have screw style jewlery. It's what they pierced it with, and it's really comfortable for me. It's initally straight, then it curves to hug the inside of my nose. I can't even tell it's there, and it doesn't move at all, unless I want it to. It was custom bent for my nose by the piercer.

It's just a little silver dot on the outside. I want to eventually go to a smaller dot, but my piercer recommended I wait at least three months to do this. Have you talked to the piercer about changing your jewlery so soon?
