WELL FIRST, IT WASN'T YOUR FAULT BECAUSE OF THE ANXIETY. DID YOU QUIT THE JOB BEFORE YOU STARTED TAKING THE MEDICATION OR BEFORE IT TOOK EFFECT? THERE REALLY ISN'T MUCH YOU CAN DO IF THEY REFUSE TO GIVE YOU YOUR JOB BACK BESIDES TALK TO THEM ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM. I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH, I HAVE DONE THE SAME THING IN THE PAST, BUT I CAN CONTROL MY PROBLEMS BETTER NOW. GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING,

Well, first, slap yourself in the back of your head for quitting a job that paid THAT much money. Probably, though, if it paid that much money, it was a VERY complicated job that you simply could not handle. Now, age 28? Sheesh. You have got a LOOOONGGGG life ahead of you. You will get a lot more jobs in your life. What to do, right now; go to every employment agency in town and fill out the applications, take the tests, and take any job they offer you; part time OR full time. Keeping working will keep your dignity and your sanity. After a while, someone will like your work and hire you into fulltime again. Especially with your experience and knowledge. Hope this helps. Good luck.

What did you used to do? Not sure what a ssri is. It sounds like you have more than anxiety, sounds like you also have depression as well. What job was it? High pressure jobs can cause anxiety of course! Do you have other life pressures that are making you worry, like addiction problems, too many bills, etc?

Money isn't happiness, don't get down on yourself because you aren't making as much as you used to. You need to find a job you actually enjoy doing. Unfortunately these usually don't pay much.

Please don't kill yourself, it doesn't really help things. If you can afford it, talk to a psychiatrist, or a mental health professional. If you don't have any money, you can go to a mental health clinic and tell them you want to kill yourself, they should be able to help get you on some meds that might help. If it's not chemical or physical (you may have a health problem that is causing your anxiety!), they can help you with psychotherapy. Just please don't give up! I know people who are going through the worst things imaginable and they haven't offed themselves. Like this woman who is in danger of losing her house, her husband just died and her son (who is mentally retarded) is going to die soon too.

If you want to check out these links. Just PLEASE don't kill yourself! Trust me, I've been there before, it's not totally hopeless. You aren't alone. Please read these before you do anything drastic.

BTW, I'm barely surviving on $6000 a year (I do medical experiments) and found out I'm pregnant and I can't even do THOSE anymore! If anything I should kill myself...but I won't.

Hi Jon! Clinical anxiety is an illness, and legally you could have taken a leave with pay for a short time. I would advise, eliminating foods that can aggravate anxiety for some people such as caffiene, sugar, dairy, and red meat. Get plenty of exercise, meditate, get plenty of rest, and consider CBT to learn ways to control your anxiety. Meds work for some people, but I'm not an advocate of daily meds for the rest of your life to treat anxiety. It really is a personal decision. Meds or not, it's very important to learn new ways to decrease and/or control the anxiety. Do what works best for you. A less stressful job is a very good idea, and good for you on putting your health first.

No job is worth that kind of anxiety. People make mistakes. So you make 200K and die 20 yrs earlier due to stress? It's not worth it. Don't follow the money! Follow your heart, and the money will come later. You can't take it with you ya know.

You do what you must.

If you weren't happy with your first job, then it was better for you to leave it. As for living on less- It is possible. I do so, and actually am fairly comfortable.

Like one of my friends told me she told some of her acquaintances: Adjust Adapt Overcome.

Meanwhile, you should get some professional help.

Good luck.

Why concentrate on numbers. You can live well with 50,000 per year or even less. When you die, you can not take a penny with you. You need to look longer into eternity, and desire more about Heaven. What we see are temporal, what we do not see is eternal. WWW.SPIRITLESSONS.COM

discover what you REALLY LOVE to do...and someone will pay you to do it. life is too short not to live your passion. and remember...when it comes to money and material things....all you really need ..is enough.

all the best
