She had been spotted for a while but there has been no sign of her lately

They had a sighting that they believe was her about a month ago.
Wish the Whippets (and other breeds) that had been lost in the year SINCE Vivi was lost would get some attention. I guess it matters who you are.
Whippets go feral very quickly. They are also very good hunters and are resourceful. A friend of mine lost her Whippet for 6mths, during a cold northern winter, she managed quite well on her own!

She's a Whippet who escaped from her crate at JFK airport on her way home. There have been many reported sightings in parks in Queens, but as of today, this dog has not yet been found.

Are you referring to the Whippet a few months ago? I heard about that when it happened, they thought they found it, but that was the wrong dog. I have since, not heard any more about it.
