I've had my heart broken this year, but I'm still not over it, experiencing it has made me think other guys will diss me the same way. I don't talk to the guy who did me like that, but I'd still like to be civilized with him. any ideas?

if you don't have kids there is no need to keep an attachment to the guy.. it will only cause drama and delay the process of you getting over what happened. It will also make it harder to get into another serious relationship. Who wants to date a girl who still talks to an ex and is hung up on a past relationship???? moving on is the best advice I can give you and the only way for that to happen is for your ex to be completely out of your life. Good luck.

He broke your heart.........move on. You only want to be "civilized" because there is a part of you that thinks you two can get back together. Save yourself more heartache & just
avoid him altogether. The day will come when are completely over him & then you can be "civilized". Right now civilized is to just cause no drama, say nothing bad about him.........give him
no reason to say bad things about you.

Almost everyone has had their heart broken at on time or another (for some, many times over). Don't be one of those "I hate all men" types. All men are NOT created equal.....hang in there, the one that's right for you WILL come along some day!

just try to be friends with it. I had my hart broken this year too, and im still not over it. I think of my self as being ugly and a lot of other stuff now because of it. so, I hope that you don't feel like I do. But trying to be friends can help, and try to talk to him about what happened

Just talking to him if you must should not be too difficult. Be guarded as to what you say or think. When and if you do talk to him think carefully about what he has said to you and take your time responding to him. Be slow of speech and listen twice as hard as you speak. Don't give him any preconceived ideas and don't hold grudges against him but by the same token don't be taken in by him either.

it takes me forever to get over some guys. just try to get back out there. yea your song will come on and the other guy your dating will do somethign to remind you of your old guy. but then also try to remind yourself of the things about your old guy that drove you crazy! there must have been something even if you said ou loved everuthing about him. then just keep reminding yourself why you broke up a nd why it cant be again and that you should move on because it wont or cant happen again and your just hurting yourself for longer and harder

do not judge all guys by just one. let him go on down the road, to many good guys out there to settle for this one that already broke your heart once. give another guy a chance, do not give him a chance to break your heart twice.

Maybe you can make it your new years resolution. YOU- "2007, my new years resolution is to become friends with my ex- boyfriend. The only problem with becoming friends with him is that you might get together again. This could be bad or good depending on your point of view. To become friends with him, ask one of your friends to ask him to breakfast. Then tell her to invite you then you can get acquainted .

Forgiveness is the key...
But if he annoys the heck out of you, it may not be possible until you can calm your inner self down first...
