Hey, yeah I am not looking for someone to tell me to talk to my parents or any of that. I am going to say this straight, I want to lose 10 pounds my parents don't know, I need to get ready for this coming Soccer season and a pool party, I am a mature girl and I am not going to let this get out of hand, my mom was anorexic and I will NEVER not eat for a day or make my self throw up. I have learned all the dangers of that since my mom is a professional health and excercise and fitness instructor, don't tell me to go to her cause I won't. If you are 13 then you understand, if you aren't then don't tell me to change my mind. I am 15 pounds over weight, I want to lose all of that in 2-3 months. I need more motivation though. Don't give me motivation I'll take care of that, just tell me how to focus on my stomach, I want it tighter and my inner thighs, they are fleshy. I am going to start running everyday, I am making my portions smaller and all that, I cut out sodas almost 2 years ago.

Okay, listen I don't have an attitude, I am not looking for attention either. I forced my self to post this so I can get healthier. If you people are so bitter you can't provide a helpful answer then don't come on. Maybe you think it's because of how I started out the Question that you clicked on, that was because I had already posted a coupl an no one answered, I just wanted people to come here and help. So chill out.

It's always going to be a combination of cardio & strength training. Not one of those alone will help any faster. Cardio to burn the calories and fat in general, and strength training to tone and firm specific places. Try going vegetarian (be smart about it, know what you're doing) for a while, or just watch what you eat. I know that you already knew this, but sorry honey, there are no secret rememdies to lose weight.

Sounds like you already know what to do. Eating more fruits and veggies is really good. But watch out if you're going to become vegitarian. You need protein or you will become anemic.

Also, remember that you can't really target where you're going to lose weight. AND, if you are working out, you will put on muscle which weighs more than fat. So you may look skinnier but still weigh the same. Don't obsess too much about the numbers.

im not going to talk you out of it because im 12 years old, 5'4'' and 95 pounds and i am trying to lose weight myself. I excersise alot. I do 20 push ups, 30 crunches, and 40 sit ups 3 times a day to flatten my tummy and work my abs and arms. I also run for 30 minutes 2 times a day. It doesnt take a long time to do these excersises, they are really easy, and you can pretty much do them where ever you are. And you dont have to do as much as me but I promise positive results. Hope this helps!

-drink lots of water (milk, too)
-eat healthy food in normal portions
-try to eat things like Special K for breakfast
-don't eat before bed
-eat snacks like cheese that fill you up and are healthy
-run
-lift weights
-exercise
-whenever you want to just chill, buy a giant exercise ball and sit on that and bounce as you watch tv
-always keep moving ^^^
-don't splurge or lose hope
-P.S::: i don't think your attitude is crappy... those people just don't get that you want to be HEALTHY! i totally agree with you :-)

omg. i'm in the same boat as you!
i'm not overweight. my BMI or whatever says i'm normal, maybe about 2 pounds underweight but i'm 14 and i think i am alittle over but whatever.
anyways.
running wont help you! as much as you want it to, lets just say.
start off with about 50 cruches or as much as you can take, do that same amount for a week once or twice a day, twice if you want alittle bit of abs.
each week increse cruches by ten cruches.
dont eat lots of sugars and starches, they go straight for the stomach and thighs. it's not a fact, but strong opinion.
sucking in your stomach helps! if you constantly suck in your stomach the results arent wow-like but you will see a slight difference.
if you can buy one of those vibrating belts at walgreens or walmart or something. you strap it on and it vibrates and burns off the fat.

I am 14, so that is close enough to 13, first of all check your attitude, it is atrocious!!!!! Second of all, please don't try to lose that weight you are still growing and your body needs that little bit of extra fat, nutrients get stored in fat, besides 10lbs of it is just water weight which can soooo easily be put back on, please don't try and go on a diet, it will spoil your health and overall well being, just keep eating healthy and exercise regularly, other than that let nature take its course, please!!!!!!

if you are anorexic, then you aren't very healthy. you should actually eat. special k says that if you eat breakfast, then you weigh less.
