It always seems like my mouth is getting more sensitive as i eat spicy foods and makes it spicier.. why does it do that?

Hmm, all the answers above me are close, but don't punch the nail fully.

Things will get spicier because of the oils from the spices left on your tongue, if not removed with something heavy like milk or beer, they will just compound and get more sensation as more oils gather on your tongue, fortunately your saliva will remove them eventually so you don't feel it for hours.

No thats more of a phycological thing it just seems spicier because its a build up of different taste buds working all at once so you can get the full flavor.

well, the spices don't leave your mouth when you swallow. eating more will place more spices on your pallette. that's what i would think anyway.

i know that if you drink milk, this counteracts the spicyness and you can go on eating happily.

the spicy foods are releasing the more spiciness, when you brake them.
